Skill India Mission

Skill India Mission (SIM) aims to empower youth with employable skills and knowledge. It is an ambitious initiative of the Government of India which was launched in July 2015 by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Youth are assisted in getting jobs through employment fairs.

The third phase of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana has started from March 2020. In this, the goal is to increase its scope to train more and more youth.

In this government scheme, emphasis will be on promoting modern skills like Artificial Intelligence, 3D Printing, Robotics, Big Data, VR, Internet of Things.

A budget of ₹ 3000 crore has been set under this scheme for the 2020-21 session.
